Abstract

A new method of evaluation of the structure factor of liquids has been formulated by using an improved perturbation treatment of the solution of the Percus-Yevick equation for hard spheres. Calculations were performed for liquid neon and rubidium using a square well as a perturbing potentials. Computed results are in very good agreement with experiment.
