Abstract

Complex peroxouranates (NH4)2[UO2(O2)F2] (1) and K2[UO2(O2)F2(H2O)] (2) have been synthesized from the reaction of UO3.4H2O with AHF2 (A = NH4 or K) and hydrogen peroxide. The reaction of 1 with SO2(g) in an aqueous medium afforded a fluoro(sulfato)dioxouranate(VI) complex (NH4)2[UO2F2(SO4)].H2O (3). Infrared and laser Raman spectroscopic studies have been made.
