Abstract
A new tetranortriterpene, 11-epi-azadirachtin D (1-tigloyl-3-acetyl-11α-hydroxy-4β-methylmeliacarpin) has been isolated from the methanolic extracts of Azadirachta indica seeds. Its structure is proposed on the basis of various spectral analyses.
