Abstract

It is suggested that the anomalous behavior of the additional paramagnetic-resonance g shift of the Gd3+ ion arising due to the presence of samarium in Pd0.96Gd0.02Sm0.02 can be understood on the basis of crystal-field effects on Sm3+ ion.
