Abstract

Superconducting YBa2Cu3O7-x pellets, having transition temperatures between 85 and 90K have been prepared under two different sintering conditions, and influence of magnetic field on critical current densities of these pellets measured at 78K have been reported here. A strong field dependence (H<1KOe) of Jc has been observed. Results have been explained assuming the presence of a large number of intergranular links with very low coupling strength.
