Abstract

The paper analyses the behaviour of a chemically reacting system possessing an autocatalytic feature followed by a nonelementary reaction using both the deterministic and stochastic approaches. The deterministic analysis reveals the complex influence of the nonelementary step on the system's behaviour which is generally corroborated by the stochastic analysis. The stochastic approach yields certain additional information regarding the system that is discussed.
