Abstract

This paper aims at resolving the controversy regarding the validity of the thermoluminescence sensitisation technique to monitor the firing temperature of different quartz samples, using the 110°C peak. The analysis was carried out in a wide spectral band, using only the heat filter. The present work reinforces the view that the proposed technique is not generally applicable.
