Abstract
Natural frequencies and normal modes are obtained for out-of-plane vibration of a circular ring on equi-spaced, identical, elastic supports. A wave approach is used. Numerical results are presented for six numbers of supports. Both degenerate and non-degenerate modes are seen to exist.
