Abstract

A few modifications of the Jamin interferometer which are useful for special testing procedures using white light or very broad band filtered light are described. One modification is useful in testing auto-reflecting prisms such as cube-corner or right-angle prisms. Another modification is a lateral-shearing interferometer useful in testing mirrors or lenses. This particular modification can be done so that one can obtain either a tilt or no tilt in a direction perpendicular to the direction of lateral shear.
