Abstract

A phenomenological analysis of the baryonium data is made and it is shown that the form of the NN potential is quite restricted. In the case where spin forces are assumed to be generated by vector exchange a sum rule for p levels follows which predicts the 11p1 level of baryonium around 1820 MeV. Radiative decay widths have also been calculated and are found to be between 20 and 50 keV.
