Abstract

The work reported in Part V of this series1 has been extended to include a study of the transfer of disperse, soluble acetate-rayon, and acid dyes to nylon. In general, there is a close resemblance between the dyeing behaviour of each class of dye and the corresponding transfer behaviour during steaming. This is demonstrated by a, comparison of the present experimental results with those which have been obtained in quantitative studies of nylon dyeing by other workers.
