Abstract

High-field two-dimensional 31P NMR spectroscopy (31P-31P COSY) has been used to study the regio- and stereoselectivity in the nucleophilic substitution reactions of the (triphenylphosphazenyl)cyclotriphosphazene, N3P3Cl5(N=PPh3) with trifluoroethoxide or aryloxides and to identify isomeric λ5-bicyclic phosphazenes. The structures and conformations of λ3-cyclotriphosphazanes and their reactivity towards transition metal derivatives and oxidation and oxidative addition reactions have been investigated.
