Abstract

Contrary to the general requirements that complex models are needed to explain the bursting solutions observed in several experimental systems, we show that bursting solutions are possible for a simple cubic autocatalytic reaction in a continuous stirred tank reactor (CSTR) by invoking a mechanism of recycling and time delay.
