Abstract

The one-loop quantum corrections to the mass of a monopole in a non-abelian supersymmetric gauge field theory are calculated. The corrections due to Bose and Fermi fluctuations around the monopole are shown to the governed essentially by the eigenvalues of two related second order differential operators, with the same nonzero mode spectrum but different densities of the continuum eigenmodes. However, the one-loop monopole mass, when expressed in terms of one-loop renormalized parameters, does not obtain any corrections.
