Abstract
A new compound norwedelic acid [5,6-dihydroxy-2(2',4',6'-trihydroxyphenyl)-benzofuran-3-carboxylic acid] has been isolated from fresh leaves of Wedelia calendulaceae apart from norwedelolactone, a compound previously found in Eclipta alba.
