Abstract

In the framework of linear response theory we have investigated the optical properties of dimers under the influence of vibrations. The interaction between the electronic and vibrational degrees of freedom is modeled by stochastic dichotomic coloured noise processes in site energies and transfer matrix element. A closed set of equations for the calculation of line shapes is obtained. Its exact numerical solution allows us to discuss features of line shapes under various physical conditions.
