Abstract

The feasibility of studying the hadronic structure of the photon in the process γγ→high-pTjets+X at e+e- colliders with √s≅Mz using no-tag experiments is studied. It is shown that at least on the parton level the background from annihilation multijet events with one or more jets in the forward/backward direction can be removed by cutting on the angle and pT balance of the high-pT jets, at least in the region of small invariant mass of the high-pT jets, Mjj≤20-25 GeV, where the signal is sizeable. Hadronization effects are expected to be small if one restricts oneself to the region Mjj≥10GeV.
