Abstract
We investigate the cross section for J/ψ production in nucleus-nucleus collisions, assuming a hard scattering picture with nucleus dependent structure functions. We find that there could be a large suppression of the J/ψ production rate in such collisions as compared to pp collisions. We also report preliminary computations for the PT dependence of this cross section.
