Abstract

We reanalyzed the implications of the recent Bd0d0 mixing data and the observed nonzero value for in the neutral kaon system within the framework of the three-generation standard model. We find that the Stech model for quark mass matrices agrees with the experimental data on Bd0d0 mixing, but fails to explain the result. The Fritzsch-Stech model is also ruled out by data. However, the Fritzsch and Fritzsch-Shin schemes are consistent with both experiments.
