Abstract

Two new porphyrin/C60 cocrystallates, MTPP(2′-thienyl)4·C60·(toluene)2 (M = CoII and CuII; TPP = tetraphenylporphyrin), were examined by single-crystal XRD analysis. These cocrystallates exhibited essentially 1D supramolecular structure. In both the structures, an unusual dramatic decrease in nonplanarity of the macrocycle to near planarity was observed.
