Abstract

A phase segregated hybrid assembly has been created of a p-type diketopyrrolopyrrole (DPP-Amide) and n-type PC71BM. DPP-Amide forms supramolecular fibers and PC71BM undergoes clustering on the fiber surface. Photoexcitation leads to the generation of excitons in the DPP fibers that travel along these fibers and dissociate at the DPP fibers/PC71BM clusters interfaces. This hybrid material exhibits enhanced intrinsic photoconductivity.
