Abstract

The supramolecular assemblies of naphthalimide appended with morpholine and dihydropyridine unit is reffered as Naph-MDHP exhibit strong affinity for simultaneous ‘turn-on’ detection of Fe2+ ions and H2O2 in nanomolar amount. Further, the potential of supramolecular assemblies of Naph-MDHP for the preventing the iron-ros induced oxidative stess leading to the degradation of dopamine and DNA has been explored.
