Abstract

Treosulfan based conditioning regimens are increasingly being used in children with Thalassaemia major [TM] with improved outcomes {Mathews et al – BBMT ]. In India, children are generally referred late for a hematopoietic stem cell transplant [HSCT] and therefore we decided to compare the outcomes of a Treosulfan based regimen in older children with Thalassaemia (> 12 years) and compare with a historical cohort of patients who received Busulfan based conditioning.
