Abstract

The original version of this Article contained an error in the author affiliations. The affiliation of Martin Schütz with Swiss Federal Institute for Forest, Snow and Landscape Research WSL, Zuercherstrasse 111, 8903 Birmensdorf, Switzerland was inadvertently omitted. Martin Schütz was incorrectly associated with Lancaster Environment Centre, Lancaster University, Lancaster, UK. This has now been corrected in both the PDF and HTML versions of the Article.
