Abstract

Since the first report of CsPbBr3 nanocrystal synthesis by the hot-injection five years ago,1,2 we have seen phenomenal growth in research efforts to understand the photodynamics, luminescent properties, and stabilization of different phases of these materials.3–5 Efforts have also been made to use the optoelectronic properties of these nanocrystals in solar cells and LEDs and as photocatalysts.6–9 CsPbBr3 nanocrystals with high luminescence yields (nearly unity) have become a model perovskite nanomaterial for elucidating optical, electronic, and photovoltaic properties. Highlights of perovskite nanocrystal research can be found in a previously published virtual issue
