Abstract

To the Editor: We read with interest the article in the Journal by Assad and colleagues that presented an analysis of incident asthma in the longitudinal CARDIA study (1). The authors sought to identify whether sex differences are associated with incident asthma, and whether obesity or metabolic syndrome (MetS) was more likely to be associated with increased asthma prospectively (1).
