Abstract

Tin(IV) complexes of Schiff’s bases e.g. N,N'-hydrazine bis(salicylideneimine), N,N'-o-phenylenebis(salicylideneimine) and benzoin-α-oxime have been synthesized by the reactions of stannic chloride (SnCl4) with the sodium salts of the corresponding ligands in different stoichiometric ratios. All the compounds are characterized by elemental analyses and spectral (IR, 1H, 13C and 119Sn NMR) studies.
