Abstract

A small signal equivalent circuit model is obtained for the LCC-type parallel resonant converter in the form of a two port hybrid parameter model. This model is used to study the small signal behavior of the converter. Dynamic performance parameters like the control to output transfer function, audio-susceptibility, output impedance and input admittance have been plotted. Both exact (sampled) and approximate (continuous time) models are obtained. When the exact model is used, the results are found to be accurate upto the switching frequency. Experimental verification of the key results is presented.
