Abstract

Spherical aggregates of hexaphenylbenzene derivative 5 undergo metal-induced modulation to form nanorods in the presence of Hg2+ ions, which exhibit selective and sensitive response toward picric acid (PA) with a detection limit of 6.87 ppb.
