Abstract

The effect of ambient and cryogenic temperature rolling on the microstructure, aging and wear behaviour of Al–4Cu–5TiB2 in situ composite was studied. The results indicate significant increase in aging kinetics and improvement in hardness and wear resistance of the cryo-rolled and room temperature rolled composite in comparison with as-cast composite.
