Abstract

This paper deals with the different methods for compensating unbalanced three phase loads. Compensation of grounded, ungrounded star connected and delta connected three phase unbalanced load has been carried out. Three schemes have been proposed for neutral current compensation. A common approach has been followed for power factor correction and load balancing. Simulated results reveal that after compensation all three supply currents are in phase with their respective phase voltages with equal magnitude resulting in a balanced load on supply system.
