Abstract

N-acetyl-D-galactosamine and β-D-galactose, located in the O-antigenic region of Agrobacterium lipopolysaccharide, are involved in host-bacterium adherence during crown gall tumor initiation as indicated by fluorescence spectroscopy studies.
