Abstract

Influence of temperature on the product selectivity, distribution of aromatics and p-X/m-X and p-X/o-X product ratios and also on the dehydrogenation/cracking, aromatization/cracking and aromatization/dehydrogenation activity ratios, in the aromatization of propane over H-gallosilicate (MFI) zeolite at different isoconversions of propane has been thoroughly investigated. The product selectivity and the distribution of aromatics and xylene isomers are strongly influenced by the reaction temperature, depending upon the propane conversion; the influence is, however, decreased with increasing the propane conversion. The aromatization activity of the zeolite relative to its dehydrogenation or cracking activity is decreased markedly with increasing the temperature. The product selectivity is controlled kinetically.
