Abstract

We develop a theory for an electrochemical way of detecting the roughness of a metal surface. Here we relate the surface structure factor of a metal surface to the average reaction current measured on the metal surface and obtain its inverse too. Under the small and large time regime analysis we extract information regarding various morphological features of metal surface.
