Abstract

Thermal expansion coefficients of polycrystalline CeRh2−xNixSi2 have been measured in the temperature range from 4.2 to 300 K. It is found that the antiferromagnetic ordering temperature TN(K) of X=0 is higher than that of x=0.1 and no ordering appears above x=0.2. The pseudoternary system CeRh2−xNixSi2 shows a crossover from magnetic heavy fermion state to mixed valence state via nonmagnetic heavy fermion state by changing x.
