Abstract
The transient optical absorption bands with λ max=410 and 385 nm, formed on √ OH radical-induced reaction with ethyl bromide and 1,3-dibromopropane in 6.5 mol dm-3 perchloric acid have been assigned to inter- and intra-molecular radical cations, respectively.
