Abstract
I show that in most of the quarkonium models proposed so far M(1 1p1) ≤ 3525 MeV and then critically examine ψ' → π0 + 1 1p1 decay rate calculation which along with the crystal ball 1 1p1 data seem to imply the lower bound M(1 1p1) > 3535 MeV.
