Abstract
Our understanding of health and health systems design has been influenced by the rapid technological innovations of the digital era. But governance models have not followed at the same pace. With new challenges facing the health sector, including new digital health stakeholders with variable mindsets and governance models, there are growing calls for international coordination and coherency.
