Abstract
This paper proposes a single phase, two stage, 9 level, grid tied solar PV system. The proposed system consists of a multi-output high gain boost converter as the front stage that feeds a 9 level multi-level inverter (MLI). The MLI generates high quality (9-level) voltage waveform, enabling grid interface. The proposed system has a significantly low part count. The main advantage of the proposed system is that even with low voltage PV module, power can be fed into the grid. The proposed system is simulated for 200W power rating. The simulation results corresponding to the proposed system are included.
